Peck's Farm Market

After the Farmer's Market, we went to a farm market.  I took a few pictures in the beginning and then forgot my phone was in my purse.

I'm so awesome.

Pecks has a petting zoo.  We got to pet Llamas.  I love llamas.

We fed some goats.  LOTS of goats.

Goats have no manners

Deven put some corn in the cup and used the wheel to send it over to the goats.

This goat couldn't get on top of this rock fast enough to get the corn we were offering.

I wished I'd taken pictures of the other Pecks. They have several deer and I was able to hand feed them and some lambs.  Everyone was so sweet and soft.  Can't I just move to the country and take care of wildlife all of the time?

Lots of stuff

Today, we go for our 24 week check up. We are very nearly a week behind, so it is actually a day behind 25 weeks.

He's been kicking and flipping around in there something fierce. It makes me happy to know that he thrives.

Know what else makes me happy? Raj. He has been so wonderful and supportive through all of my moods, depression, feeling wretchedly bad about myself. He's a real cheerleader. And he is the best.

We bought his first items yesterday. The first is his crib mattress. A friend had a brand new, top of the line crib mattress, and she sold it to us for a song, so we have that. I also got a pump in style from her. I estimate we saved about 400 bucks getting these things from her instead of at Babies R Us.

Unrelatedly (I hope) Sam the cat has been pulling his fur out. He has large bald spots on is front legs and belly. We aren't sure if it is allergies or stress, but are concerned that he is reacting to the change he knows is coming.

Mosquitoes

both stupid cats were yowling like crazy tonight. it's a pretty nice night, so i decided to turn off the central air and open the patio to let the cats go outside and play.

they have been so calm since, but I have gotten bit by about 1 million mosquitoes in the past hour.

i freaking hate mosquitoes. my cats are so not worth it.

unrelated, but important. the bebbe in my belly is 17 weeks along today. 23 weeks to go. at some point in the future, i hope to look pregnant instead of just fat. it's been a joy, so far little one. can't wait to meet you.

I'm happy today

Because all of my self esteem is on the scale.

I LOST 2 lbs today. YAY. I will celebrate by adding on to my running routine.

Kitties are lazy and fat.

Love,
Emily

Still sick

I have spent the past few days with tummy distress. I am ready for it to be over.

So now, I am laying on the couch with my kitties, and napping intermittently.

After all of this not wanting to eat at all business, I better have some sort of loss tomorrow.

Also, a big part of me worries that when I come home from work sick, everyone thinks I am faking it.

Stupid Tom Cat

Challenge failed due to cat scratch, subsequent infection, and bad reaction to antibiotic.

Also, I worked out for the first time since the CAT ATTACK, and I am so weak.

Anyone want a cat? Slightly used?

WORST MAMA EVER

Sam has fleas. He has been scratching his neck until he has sores on it, so today, we got him a flea bath (Tommy got the treatment, too.)

He cried and he cried. Now, he is scared of us.

Bah, I am the worst mama EVER. How the hell did the stupid cat get fleas anyway? He never had them before!

ALSO, Tommy had more fleas, but never scratches.

Wet cats are cute. Especially when Sam's fur looked all spiky.

I am too cheap to buy a Dyson

So I was gonna buy a Vax from Best Buy (supposedly just as good for 1/2 the price).

I am also too cheap to buy 1/2 a Dyson.

So I bought a Hoover Fusion. It kicks so much ass. The only downfall is that the Fusion is sold ONLY at Walmart. I super duper hate Walmart.

Seriously. 1) I am horrified that our floors were so disgusting. 2) My cats shed WAY more than I previously thought. I am seriously considering vacuuming them. 3) After vacuuming with the Fusion, our whole apartment smells delightfully fresh. 4) The Fusion was LESS THAN $140. SUCK IT DYSON!

I will probably go hug the Fusion as soon as I am sure that noone is looking.

Love,
Emily

What a weird cat

The cats have been chasing each other everywhere. They aren't very graceful about it. It sounds kind of like scamper scamper crash.

Apparently Tommy is tired, now, because he is sitting on the printer. I can see it in his face, he is thinking about making copies.

Weird little cat.
